Everything we are asked most often about ordering, artwork, pricing, shipping and applying DTF transfers. If your question is not here, contact us.
DTF stands for direct to film. Your artwork is printed onto a film sheet, coated with adhesive powder and cured, so it arrives ready to heat press onto a garment. Unlike vinyl there is no cutting or weeding, and full colour artwork with fine detail and gradients transfers as one piece.
DTF suits cotton, polyester and blends, which covers most t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, tote bags and similar garments. Results depend on the fabric and on your press, so we recommend testing on the same blank you intend to sell before running a full batch.
No. You can order a single transfer. Larger quantities reach the volume tiers, but nothing stops you ordering one.
Yes. Add each design to your cart at the size and quantity you need. Eligible DTF transfers are counted together for volume pricing, so several small designs can reach a tier that none of them would reach alone.
Up to 24" x 24". For anything larger, split the artwork across more than one transfer.
Price is based on the printed area of your transfer and on how many you order. Enter your dimensions and quantity on the Order by Size page and the price per transfer is shown before you add anything to your cart.
Yes. The price per transfer falls as quantity rises, in set tiers. Quantity is counted across the eligible DTF transfers in your cart rather than per design.
Volume tiers are open to everyone and apply automatically. If you order regularly at volume, contact us about a trade account.
PNG, JPG, JPEG, PDF, up to 25 files per order, up to 50 MB each.
For anything with a background you do not want printed, send a PNG with real transparency.
Aim for 300 DPI at the size you are printing. That is resolution at final print size, not the pixel count on its own: a small image scaled up to a large transfer loses detail.
Our ordering page estimates the effective resolution at your chosen size. Below 200 DPI it asks you to confirm before continuing, so the trade-off is visible to you before you order rather than after.
You are warned at the point of ordering and asked to confirm. If you continue, we print what you supplied. A transfer that prints soft because the file was soft is not a production error, so please take the warning seriously or send a larger file.
We check that what we received is what we can print, and resolution is verified before production. We do not redraw, recolour or rebuild artwork, and we are not responsible for spelling, layout or design choices inside a file you approved.
Yes. PDF artwork is accepted and its resolution is verified before production rather than estimated at the moment you upload it.
Yes. Choose your sheet length, upload the print-ready file, confirm it prints as supplied, and add it to your cart. We check that the file is the shape of the sheet you picked before you order, and we never stretch artwork to make it fit.
Yes. Upload your designs, set the printed size of each one, then arrange them yourself or press Auto arrange and we pack them for you with a quarter inch between designs. The price updates as you work and you add the finished sheet straight to your cart.
The gang sheet builder works with PNG and JPG artwork. PNG with a transparent background is best, because anything that is not transparent prints, including a white box behind a logo.
If you already have a print-ready sheet, the upload page also accepts PDF. PDF is not placed onto the builder canvas.
Gang sheet pricing is based on the sheet length you select. Every gang sheet is 22 inches wide, and the selected sheet is charged at its full price whether you fill all of the available space or not. Longer sheets provide a lower effective cost per foot.
Gang sheets do not currently use separate quantity discount tiers. Savings are built into the sheet-size pricing, with longer sheets offering a lower effective cost per foot.
This is different from our Order by Size transfers, where quantity is counted across your cart and volume tiers apply.
You still pay the full price of the sheet you chose, so it is worth filling it. The builder shows how much of the sheet you have used, and if there is a lot of space left you are usually better off adding more designs or dropping to a shorter sheet.
Every gang sheet is 22 inches wide. You choose the length, from 1 foot up to 40 feet, and the price per foot falls as the sheet gets longer.
Standard DTF orders are normally ready for production within 1 to 2 business days of your order and artwork being accepted.
No. That is production readiness, not delivery. Transit time with the carrier is additional and is not a guaranteed delivery date.
Online orders currently ship to addresses in Ontario only. Local Pickup in Toronto is free and available to every customer. Delivery to other provinces and territories is coming soon; for an order outside Ontario, please contact [email protected].
Yes. Local Pickup in Toronto is offered at checkout and is free at any order value. We will tell you when your order is ready to collect.
Free standard shipping applies when the eligible DTF transfers in your cart reach $99.00. The figure is measured after any discount or coupon and before tax and shipping.
It is specific to eligible DTF transfers, so other product ranges do not count towards it and do not inherit it. Expedited and rush services are never free.
You can ask to cancel or change an order before production begins. Because these are custom products, production can start shortly after your order and artwork are accepted, so contact us immediately if something needs to change.
Custom and made-to-order printed products are generally final sale. We cannot accept a return for change of mind, for an ordering mistake, for a size or quantity you selected, or for a problem that was already in artwork you supplied or approved.
Eligible merchandise that is not custom can be returned on request within 30 calendar days of delivery. Nothing in our policy limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Tell us within 30 calendar days of delivery or pickup. Where we verify a production error of ours, a reprint or replacement is the primary remedy and you are not charged again. A refund or store credit may be offered instead where reprinting is impractical.
Full detail is in our Returns & Refunds and Shipping Policy pages.
Press the garment briefly to remove moisture and creases, position the transfer with the printed side down, press with even firm pressure, then peel as instructed for the transfer you received and finish with a short second press under baking paper.
Exact temperature, time and pressure depend on the film and powder in production and on your own press, so always follow the guidance supplied with your order and test on the same blank first.
Wait at least 24 hours after pressing before the first wash. Wash inside out on a cool gentle cycle, avoid bleach and fabric softener, and do not iron directly onto the transfer.
