Every design is reviewed for embroidery

A patch is built from thread, so your artwork is reviewed and digitized before anything is stitched. Very fine details, very small lettering and complex artwork may need adapting so the patch stitches cleanly at the size you want.

Not every patch suits every item

Whether a patch works depends on the item, its fabric and construction, and how the patch will be applied. Tell us what the patches will go on and we will review your items with the patch design before confirming.

Application and borders

Application and backing options are confirmed according to your project requirements. Border and edge construction will be recommended based on the patch shape and design.

If you already have a preference, such as sew-on or heat-applied, include it in your request and we will confirm what suits your project.

How it works

From artwork to finished patches

  1. Send your artwork and details. Quantity, approximate size, shape and what the patches are for.
  2. We review it. We check the design, the size and the items the patches will go on.
  3. Digitizing. Your design is converted into stitch instructions for the embroidery machine.
  4. You approve the specification. Size, shape, colours, border and application are confirmed with you before production.
  5. Production. Your patches are made to the approved specification. Timing is confirmed with your quote.

You do not need to know a stitch count. We work out production requirements after reviewing your artwork.

Can you turn my logo into a patch?

Send us your logo, emblem or design and we will review it for embroidery. Very fine detail, very small lettering and complex artwork may need simplifying so the patch stitches cleanly, and we will tell you if that is the case.

How are patches attached?

Application and backing options are confirmed according to your project requirements. Tell us what the patches will go on and how you would like them applied, if you know, and we will recommend what suits your items.

What shapes can patches be?

Common shapes include round, square, rectangle, oval, shield and badge, and custom shapes that follow your design. Every shape is reviewed with the design before we confirm it.

What border will my patch have?

Border and edge construction will be recommended based on the patch shape and design.

How much do patches cost, and is there a minimum?

Patches are quoted for each project. Cost depends on the size, shape, design, colours, quantity and application. We have not published a minimum; tell us roughly how many you need and we will confirm what is practical.

Will a patch work on any item?

Not always. The item, its fabric and how the patch will be applied all matter, so we review your items with the patch design before confirming.
