Names, numbers and personalization

Personalizing a whole squad from one roster — not one artwork file per athlete.

How it works

You send one list. We apply it across the order.

A roster row is usually:

  • Player name — who the garment belongs to
  • Printed name — what actually goes on the garment, which is not always the same thing
  • Number
  • Garment — which item in the order this row applies to
  • Size
  • Notes — anything specific to that person

A spreadsheet is fine. We will tell you if anything is ambiguous before production rather than guess at a surname.

What can be personalized

  • Player names and numbers on competition and training apparel
  • Coach and staff names or titles, usually styled to distinguish staff from players
  • Team or academy name across the whole order
  • Sponsor logos in placements agreed once and reused

Things worth deciding early

Number placement and size, name position, and whether names go on training kit as well as match kit. These are cheap decisions before production and expensive ones afterwards.

Practical limits

Long names. Garment width and number size set how many characters fit legibly. We will flag any roster entry that will not fit properly rather than shrink it to something unreadable.

Character sets. Accented and non-Latin characters are usually fine. Tell us in advance so we confirm the typeface supports them.

Late changes. A roster change before production is straightforward. After production it is a new garment, because a personalized item cannot be reassigned.

Spare stock. Squads change mid-season. Ask about unpersonalized spares when we quote.

Personalizing a squad?

Tell us the apparel and roughly how many athletes. The roster itself can come later.
