Decoration methods for custom apparel

How your logo, crest or design actually gets onto a garment — what we run today, what is still an enquiry, and how we choose between them.

Available through DECOVINK

DTF transfers

Full-colour heat-applied transfers. Strong for detailed crests, gradients, photographic artwork and small runs where every garment differs. This is a DECOVINK production line today, with its own ordering tool.

Embroidery

Stitched decoration for caps, polos, jackets and bags, where a raised, textured finish suits the garment better than a print. Stitch specification and placement are confirmed per project.

Names and numbers

Player names, numbers and staff titles applied per garment from one roster you send us. You do not prepare separate artwork for each player.

Ask us — not confirmed

Screen printing

Traditionally the economical route for large runs of a simple design in few colours. DECOVINK has not confirmed a screen-printing production arrangement, so treat this as an enquiry: ask us and we will tell you honestly whether we can serve your run.

Sublimation

Used for fully patterned polyester kit where the design runs edge to edge. DECOVINK has not confirmed a sublimation production arrangement, so this is also an enquiry rather than a listed service.

You do not have to choose. Tell us the garment and send the artwork, and we will recommend the appropriate decoration method for your project.

How we choose

Four things decide the method:

  • The garment. A stretch performance top, a structured cap and a cotton hoodie do not take decoration the same way.
  • The artwork. A fine-detail crest with gradients behaves differently from a two-colour wordmark.
  • The run size. What suits twelve garments is not what suits three hundred.
  • Whether every piece differs. Names and numbers mean each garment is unique, which rules some approaches out.

You do not need to work this out. Send the garment and the artwork and we will recommend the appropriate method for your project.

Decoration locations

Cost and practicality both depend on how many places the design is applied — front, back, sleeve, chest, cap front, bag panel. Tell us the placements you want and we will tell you which are sensible on the garment you have chosen.

What we do not publish

No wash-life, abrasion or outdoor-durability figures appear on this site for apparel decoration, because DECOVINK has not validated them for these garments. If durability is critical to your order, ask for a sample first.

Already know you want DTF?

DTF is a live DECOVINK production line with its own ordering tools. If you only need transfers rather than a full apparel program, you can order those directly.

That is the normal situation. Send us the garment and the artwork and we will advise.
